I grew up in London but the south west of England has been my home for most of my adult life. I’ve always made art in one form or another and over the years my creative practice has included writing, textiles, printmaking and photography as well as painting and drawing.
I like to work out of doors whenever possible and am generally more concerned with the process of making marks in response to the landscape than with direct representation. I often collect found materials to work with on site or to bring home for later use. I enjoy working in series and many of my finished pieces consist of sketchbook journals or small handmade books.
